1975 C10, ODB (Old Dirty something or another)
This C10 was obtained for a simple, yet refined build. It's not some big $100K vehicle with the best parts money can buy, but we hope to get close. Nobody enjoys settling for less, but less is necessary more times than not. The ODB hopes to have a refinished frame with tubular suspension and a street grip kit from Ridetech. Getting it on the road will be a simple 5.3L V8 with a 4L60 or 4L80 transmission and stopping it will be a Wilwood 12" brake kits on the front and rear. I'm sure more will be done and all of those details will be shown throughout the build.
We have the sandblasted parts back from Cobern Machine Shop and Sandblasting in Pensacola, Fl.. A few coats of chassis black await.
With the engine and motor mounts here, it's time to get serious and start this restoration project.
We all love it when new, or better, parts arrive for our project vehicles. Especially when those parts will make it go faster, handle better, grip harder, and stop quicker.
A truck purchased for a dream. You spend years developing thoughts in the back of your mind and creating pictures of your wants, not needs. Of course, some may say that we still need them.
